Welcome to “Rinus Baak Photography”.  Here you will find a wide variety of my beautiful and exciting photographic images. Please enjoy yourself as you surf through my web site.

If you’re a little like me, you will, or already have, visited many other sites or galleries offering wildlife and nature photography products. That’s actually how my interest in this genre began. I would visit a gallery, note where the great photographs were taken, and plan a trip to take my own pictures. Of course, along the way came the challenging tasks of ending up with “keepers”. Now, I get a warm feeling knowing that my “keepers” adorn people’s homes and offices and that my cards have been sent around the globe. My photographs have also been used in various environmental education brochures, annual reports and magazine articles.

I have a partner in this enterprise. She’s my sweetheart and best friend, Jane. From the images you can see that we have visited many wild and scenic places to photograph brown bears, polar bears, harp seals, penguins, and many species of birds. But the world has many more such wondrous hideaways that we haven’t visited. Jane and I are continually challenged to find the time and resources for the next quest of “keepers”.
